As many of you know, I have taken on the task of keeping our community Farmer’s Market going. We are off to a slow start. There are fewer vendors than I’d like. Of course this creates the classic “chicken & egg” situation. If we are to keep our community market going we need more people who want to sell fresh, healthy and local produce, foods and crafts. We also need to be sure people are coming to the market to buy the goods and enjoy and experience a tradition generations old.
The past two market days several of you drove in to the parking lot behind the Elks Lodge where the Market is. Slowed down to look and then drove off. I strongly encourage you to step out and talk with the folks selling. You may be surprised at the variety of things that are being sold not to mention how GOOOOOOD some of their stuff is.
